Slash = Front Slash

Horrible definition found: A good way to remember the difference between a backslash and a forward slash is that a backslash leans backwards ( \ ), while a forward slash leans forward ( / ).  pc.net helpcenter

What? What leans backward?

Here is a pipe   |

Here is the pipe leaning backwards like a person (which I am assuming is the best representation because of commonality)   /     ... this is a slash or forward slash. So this is a backwards definition.

Should Programming Languages Count Toward Foreign Language Requirement

It short, absolutely. Academic approaches cannot be stifled by tradition. Let's be honest, most schools only offer Spanish and one other like French or German.It should be noted that people outside of the US speak at least two languages or at least more than the average US citizen.

However, let us ground ourselves into practical use. Programming or more specifically general, programming logic and design is becoming more relevant as a core subject. Do we have a basic understanding of how things work and do we need to have this knowledge? What happens if less spoken languages are not studied? Do we continue to force some subjects and not others?

The NBA != Basketball

The NBA does not represent true basketball. The players are all the same and you have 10 seconds to drive, pull-up, spin, and ultimately shoot. Overall assist numbers are bloated because assist counts are counted on false pretenses of if the shot was made ... not if the pass was of an assist nature. Great pass underneath ... shot is missed ... no assist ... does that make sense?

2 Nephi

Brother Tad R. Callister , president General Sunday School.
“These sermons (such as King Benjamin's) teach us things you don’t really get from the Bible. They help us understand the Atonement can help us overcome weaknesses, that through the Atonement we can become like Christ. Those are deep, poignant, and incredible insights that only the Book of Mormon gives.”

Brother Callister cited 2 Nephi 32:3, “Feast upon the words of Christ for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.” which to him means two things ... “teaches the correct principles in life that decisions are based upon" and "invites the Spirit to help us use those principles in an inspired way."

The foundation aspects of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are real and based upon the study of ancient scripture and modern application-based teachings in my own life.
